Whether the pricing model for your business is session fee + collection separate or your collection and session fee are one package, I'm going to detail how to increase your sales with Featured Series.
Fearlessly Feminine is a session fee: the cost to shoot, HMU, viewing etc (which is the same experience for every client), and the collection purchased separately. Our session fee includes no products and is entirely service-based, our collections are a hybrid service and physical product.
A featured series is a carefully created vignette used to evoke emotion and tailor your client's session experience to fit their individual needs and personality. Two of my Featured Series come standard with the initial session fee, and the others are add-on upgrades — giving clients up to thirteen additional ways to deepen their experience.

I am Feminine, and Liberation are the two featured series that come standard with every Fearlessly Feminine session. They include access to my white rooms in the studio and my darkroom/hallway in my studio.
I am Feminine — "Slip into the sheets, be present, and remind yourself you are enough. Become fluent in the language of self-love. This classic series has been a Fearlessly Feminine staple since the very beginning and captivates us each time."
Along with the above description a video play of what the room looks like with a model so the client knows what they're getting and knows what it feels like.
The inclusion of two featured series in the session fee sets the tone for story telling while encompassing who a Fearlessly Feminine client is at the core. It lets my client know if she chooses not to add on she still relates to what it means to be apart of my brand. This sets a baseline of what it means to be a Fearlessly Feminine client.

Storytelling is a crucial piece of creating your featured series and an ideal way to get your clients to invest more in their boudoir experience. Whatever consistent vibe and imagery you're trying to set in your studio with your clients should be included in your main session fee. We're storytelling, so the wording and imagery should evoke deep emotion and reflect your brand.
For Fearlessly Feminine that's the I am Feminine and Liberation Series. I am Feminine is light, bright and airy imagery — our white room and living room space. Liberation is dark, moody and sultry imagery — our dark room and hallway space. Together they represent two sides of who our client is: soft and bold, vulnerable and powerful.
The goal is for your base series to feel like an essential part of the brand experience, not an afterthought. When a client sees herself in your included series, she trusts you enough to explore the add-ons. That trust is what drives upgrades.
I offer two featured series in the initial session fee, but you could offer just one. The key is making sure whatever you include feels intentional and deeply connected to your brand identity.

My ideal client LOVES to romanticize her every day life, so many of my featured series are designed to support that belief.
In my marketing I've trained my customer. So many of our inquiries come in ready to pay the session fee and know what featured series they'd like to add on.
Our Featured Series are outlined on our website with storytelling descriptions as well as in a highlight on our Instagram. I like my clients to know what the options are going in and understand some are 'included' and some are 'an additional fee' with the goal of customizing their experience to reflect who they are personally
I also frequently share and talk about them on our Instagram, Facebook, Patreon and blog. I often include videos examples and reels, those are also linked to the website. The goal is for my client to be able to see themselves in the images and feel bought into the series before we ever have her first call.
The second time my client is introduced to the idea of our Featured Series is in our initial consult call.
Client: Hello?
Photographer: Hey Girl, is this Jenny?
Client: Yes it is.
Photographer: Ok perfect, is this still a good time to chat?
Client: it is!
Photographer: Awesome! (Here is where I give my normal pitch… I explain session fee, collections etc.) I get to know the client, address any fears, assure her about our process, style and posing, I also answer any questions about my collections, hair and make up etc.
Here is how I address the Featured Series

Client: Ok cool, id like to also add Efflorence to my collection.
Photographer: Oh awesome, i'm so glad you brought that up. Id love to talk to you about our Featured Series. Have you had a chance to look over the collection and do you have any questions about those? Do you have any questions about our Featured Series?
Scenario A — Client already knows what she wants:
Client: Yes! I've been looking at Efflorescence and I'm obsessed. I definitely want to add that one on.
Photographer: Oh my gosh, I love that one too. That series is so special — our florist creates a custom arrangement for each client and we incorporate loose petals throughout. It's one of those series where every single image feels like a piece of art. That one is $150 and the florals are included in that price so you don't have to worry about sourcing anything yourself. Do you want me to go ahead and add that to your session?
Client: Yes, let's do it!
Photographer: Amazing. And just so you know — a lot of our clients who add Efflorescence also love pairing it with Renewal, which is our bathtub series. It's a completely different vibe — bubbles, bubbly, very relaxed and playful — so together you get this beautiful contrast between ethereal and fun. That one's $100 and if you add two or more series you get $25 off each. Just something to think about — no pressure at all.
Scenario B — Client hasn't looked yet or seems unsure:
Client: I saw them on your website but I'm not sure which ones I'd want. There's so many!
Photographer: Totally understand — and that's actually really common! So here's how I like to think about it. Your session fee already includes two series: I am Feminine and Liberation. I am Feminine is our light, bright, white-room series — sheets, natural light, very soft and romantic. Liberation is the opposite — it's our dark room and hallway, moody shadows, very bold and empowering. So no matter what, you're getting both of those vibes.
Photographer: The add-ons are designed to take your experience deeper and make it feel even more personalized. So I always ask my clients — what do you love to do in your everyday life? Are you a wine girl? A bath girl? Do you love flowers? Are you outdoorsy? Because each series is built around a different feeling and lifestyle.
Client: Oh wow, ok. I'm definitely a bath and wine girl.
Photographer: Ok perfect — then you'd probably love Renewal. That's our bathtub series — we fill up the tub, add bubbles, pour you a glass of champagne, and it's just the most relaxing twenty minutes. Clients always say it's their favorite part because it doesn't even feel like a photoshoot, it just feels like a really beautiful evening. That one's $100 and the bubbly is included.
Client: That sounds amazing. Let's add that.
Photographer: Love it. And I'll send you our Featured Series email after we hang up which has all of the descriptions and details for every series we offer, so if anything else catches your eye between now and your session you can always add more. A lot of my girls end up adding one or two more after they see the full breakdown.
Scenario C — Client says she doesn't want to add anything:
Client: I think I'll just stick with what's included for now.
Photographer: Absolutely, and that's totally fine! You're still going to have the most incredible session with I am Feminine and Liberation — those two series are the heart of what we do and they produce stunning images. I'm going to send you our Featured Series email anyway just so you have it. No pressure at all — but I will say, a lot of my clients read through it after booking and something clicks, so just keep an open mind. You can add on anytime before your session date.
Key takeaways for your own phone script:
Lead with what's already included so she feels like she's getting value before you even mention add-ons. Ask lifestyle questions to match her personality to a series — don't just list options. Use sensory language to paint the picture — describe what it feels like, not just what it looks like. Always mention the multi-buy discount casually, not as a hard sell. If she says no, plant the seed with the email and leave the door wide open. I'm a woman who focuses on hard numbers. Here's what my own QuickBooks data shows — contracted amounts across every completed booking since 2018.
After I raised my collection prices in 2022, the Featured Series premium becomes even clearer. Clients who purchased a Featured Series add-on spent an average of $5,029 — compared to $3,661 for clients who didn't add a series. That's a +$1,368 (37%) premium per client, just from the add-on conversation.

Note: I had a baby in late 2022 and took a significant amount of time off in 2023 and 2024, which is reflected in those years' numbers.
A client books the $500 session fee and chooses a $2,550 collection. She's at $3,050. During her consultation call, she adds the Renewal and Efflorescence Series (+$250). After receiving the Featured Series email, she adds the Immersion Series for her partner (+$150).
Her total investment: $3,450. That's $400 more than a client who skipped the add-ons — from three conversations you're already having.

The trend line tells the story: Even as our total client count has fluctuated year to year, the amount each client spends has climbed steadily. That's the Featured Series effect — 187 repeat boudoir clients generating over $920,000 in revenue, each one worth 2.3× more than a first-time booking. You don't need more leads. You need a deeper menu.
How you price your Featured Series matters as much as how you shoot them. Here's the framework we use and why it works.
We price our add-on series in three tiers based on time, complexity, and production value. This gives clients a clear decision framework — and it naturally anchors the mid-tier as the sweet spot.
$100 Add-Ons
20 minutes each. Quick, impactful series that add variety without adding significant time to the session day.
Low barrier to say yes. Most clients add at least one. These are your volume sellers.
$150 Add-Ons
20–30 minutes. More complex setups, unique environments, or series that require extra styling and production.
The sweet spot. Higher perceived value, still an easy yes. This is where most of your add-on revenue lives.
Premium
Extended time, specialty locations, or experiences that stand alone as a session-within-a-session.
Aspirational. Even if she doesn't book it, it makes the $150 tier feel like a deal.
When a client adds two or more series, each one drops by $25. This is intentional psychology: it rewards stacking, increases your average sale, and makes the client feel like she's getting more for less. A client who was going to add one series at $150 now adds two at $125 each — and you just went from $150 to $250 in add-on revenue.
Our average sale is over $2,200 per session client. And that number has been climbing every year as we've added more series to the menu. The Featured Series is directly responsible for that upward trend. Each new series you add is another $100–$150 that a client can say yes to without having to think twice.
Pricing tip: Don't overthink it. Start with two tiers — a $100 quick add-on and a $150 signature add-on. You can always add a premium tier later. The goal is to have something on the menu that's easy to say yes to. A $100 add-on feels like nothing when she's already investing $2,200+ in her session.
Not every series fits every season. Here's how we think about timing launches throughout the year to keep momentum going and give past clients a reason to rebook.
Q1 · January – March
Renewal / Fresh Start Energy
New year, new goals. Women are motivated and investing in themselves. Launch series tied to transformation, self-love, and starting fresh. "Renewal" is our top Q1 performer. This is also a great time for a "first 5 bookings free" promo to fill your calendar early.
Q2 · April – June
Efflorescence / Blooming Season
Spring energy, outdoor locations open up, natural light is gorgeous. Launch series that use gardens, florals, or water. "Efflorescence" and "Immersion" shine here. Mother's Day is a natural marketing hook — gift certificates for boudoir sessions move well in May.
Q3 · July – September
I Am Wild / Summer Heat
Summer confidence is high. Bold, adventurous series do well — think outdoor, editorial, daring. "I Am Wild" and "Aphrodite" are natural fits. Late summer is also prime time for bridal boudoir as fall weddings approach.
Q4 · October – December
Sanctuary / Holiday Gifting
Cozy, intimate, luxurious. Launch your most premium series — "Sanctuary" is perfect here. Black Friday sales on session fees drive volume (we've done 50% off session fees). Holiday gift certificates for partners round out the quarter.
The rhythm that works: Launch a new or refreshed series every 6–8 weeks. This keeps your Instagram content fresh, gives your Flodesk list something to open, and creates urgency. You don't need 14 series on day one — start with 4 (one per quarter) and build from there.

She finds you on Instagram or gets a referral. She sees your Featured Series in your highlights, on your website, or in your portfolio. The variety of series tells her this isn't a one-size-fits-all experience — it's curated for her. She reaches out.

During the consultation, you walk her through the Featured Series menu. She picks her base experience, then you introduce the add-on series. This is where the magic happens — "Oh, Efflorescence sounds amazing, can I add that?" The multi-buy discount kicks in and she's adding two or three series before she even realizes it.

Session Day
Each Featured Series has its own setup, mood, wardrobe direction, and visual story. This means the session day feels like multiple experiences in one — she's not just changing outfits, she's stepping into different worlds. The variety keeps energy high and gives you a massive range of portfolio-worthy images.

Urgency and scarcity. Recap the offer, remind them what's included, and let them know time is running out. Strong CTA: "Book Now — Last Spot." After this, the series stays on your menu at full price.
Copy tip: The best-performing launch emails lead with one stunning image and three sentences or less before the CTA. Save the long storytelling for email 2 or 3. Your launch email's only job is to make her click.
Work through each step in order. A series with a compelling story, a clear buyer, and strong visual identity always outsells one that's just a backdrop and a price tag.

For our deeper community, we use Patreon and our blog to go behind the scenes on Featured Series in a more editorial way. A post titled "Inside Our Efflorescence Series: What Happens When Flowers Meet Boudoir" does two things: it attracts future clients searching for floral boudoir photography, and it positions you as someone who has thought deeply about the artistry of what you do.

Launching a New Series
Every time we launch a new Featured Series, we deploy a sequence of emails through Flodesk to build anticipation and drive early bookings. The sequence typically includes a teaser, a full reveal with images and behind-the-scenes details, and a final call-to-action with a limited-time offer.
Our go-to launch strategy: we offer the new series for free to the first five women who book, or we pair the launch with a limited-time sale. This does two things — it fills your calendar fast with sessions for the new series, and it gives you a bank of fresh images to use in your marketing before you've even started charging full price for it.
Those initial five sessions become your portfolio, your reels content, your highlight images, and your social proof. By the time you go to market at full price, you already have a library of real client work that sells the series for you. It's the single best investment you can make in a new series launch.
Launch email sequence tip: Email 1 — tease the concept and mood (behind-the-scenes of the space). Email 2 — full reveal with the name, story, pricing, and real images. Email 3 — limited offer for early adopters (free series or discounted rate for the first 5 bookings). Email 4 — social proof follow-up once those first sessions are shot.
The biggest mistake photographers make: posting about your Featured Series once and moving on.
